Arrogant Man VS Unyielding Woman

Chapter 628 I'm Sorry

Chapter 628 I'm Sorry

"It's because…" Jean rested her head on Zed's chest and whispered, "I know when it comes to the

matters of love, anyone can be selfish in a relationship. But I always thought you're different from the

rest. You're simply the best, you bring out the best in everything. I always tell myself with pride that I'm

so lucky to be your wife.

You have no idea how grateful I am to have you, Zed. I thank God that I met you and thank him for

bringing us closer together. Loving you and sharing things with you are the best things in the world for

me. And now we have our little one. Life keeps getting better with you.

Sometimes, I am overwhelmed with joy to a point that I never realized I was neglecting you already. I

always thought you knew how much I love you and there were no doubts in your mind. But I have seen

a different Zed today…"

Talking about this, a weak smile formed on Jean's flushed face.

Zed lowered down his eyes to meet Jean's, not knowing how to react.

"Zed, why do you feel insecure? He was just a classmate from primary school. And you know how

much I love you, so how could you lose control and be upset? Do you know how sad I am to see you

that way?"

"Jean…" Unable to say the words he meant to say, Zed sighed and hugged her. "I know how much you

love me but it's just that I'm afraid to lose you. You're an enchanting woman. I felt threatened

sometimes. You can't blame me to feel that way. Part of me doesn't want to share you with other This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

people…"

"Hmm, you still have doubts about me." A lazy smile crossed Jean's face. "In my heart, I only have one

man and that's you. But you know that I also need to interact with other people. So stop thinking this

nonsense, okay? I'm your wife and I'm yours. My love for you is endless. But all I want is just little

freedom and I would never break my promise to you."

"Okay. I knew it was my fault and I am just a jealous guy here. I just felt uncomfortable why you didn't

tell him you're married in the first place,"

Zed blurted out.

"I told you, I was supposed to tell him but I was interrupted by Maranda. Is it such a big deal for you?

Whenever I met other men, do I need to tell them to back off because I'm married?"

Jean asked at Zed with a baffled look.

"There's no need to do that." His face turned red with embarrassment upon hearing her.

"Zed, you got to trust me." Jean lifted her head up to look at Zed's eyes and whispered as their

conversation changed from humorous note to a serious one.

"Yes, I do trust you. I always will." Zed nodded as he stroked her hair lovingly.

"After talking for so long, you got me starving!" Jean quipped after seeing Zed had mellowed down.

"Let's get something to eat." Zed reached out to hug Jean and gave a wet smooch on the lips. He then

whispered, "Honey, I love you. I love you more than you'll ever know."

Jean giggled and couldn't stop herself from blushing. "Are you talking to me? I can't quite hear you."

"Baby, I love you." Seeing Jean's coyness, Zed quickly shouted towards her ear.

Jean immediately released herself from his hug, stared at him angrily. "Very funny, I am almost deaf."

"I'm so sorry," Zed apologized with a smirk. He then scooped Jean up and went downstairs.

"Hey, put me down! I can walk. Moore will be here any minute. If he sees us, we will all be

embarrassed!"

Jean stopped upon seeing Zed's numb look.

"It's no use. He has already seen us," said Zed. While still lifting Jean, Zed walked towards the living

room and greeted Moore, "Hey, you're back. I thought you're having dinner with Avery."

"Well, she and Adolf went to the hospital to visit Albert." Moore stood up from the sofa and smiled when

he saw Jean was in Zed's arms. He joked, "Perhaps I should come back later."

"Put me down, quick." Jean struggled from Zed when she saw Moore. She didn't want him to see her

with Zed acting silly.

She felt even more embarrassed when she heard him so she anxiously asked Zed to put her down.

Zed smiled like a Cheshire cat then he put her down carefully.

Still with embarrassment, Jean quickly stood up and pulled her clothes down.

"Moore, why don't you eat with us? Zelda has already prepared a dinner for us!" Slightly annoyed, Jean

made a side glance to Zed as she took the lead to the dining room.

Zed smiled weakly as his wife walked away ignoring him.

Moored walked towards him, patted him gently on the shoulder and then followed Jean.

The dining room was filled with appetizing aroma. Lots of dishes were served on the table, all cooked

by Zelda's magical hands.

Jean sat down and began to savor each dish.

Seeing Jean so engrossed with her food, Moore felt hungry too. He began to enjoy each bite.

Zed was the last one to walk in to the dining room. Seeing them both eat peacefully and undisturbed,

he pulled a chair and started to eat forlornly.

The dinner was shared in silence. Jean was the last one to finish and when she looked up, two men

were looking at her. With perplexed look, her eyebrows rose in unison.

"Jean, I want to tell you something," Moore looked at Jean intently and spoke.

"What is it?" Jean asked as she took a bowl of warm soup.

"Since Avery and I are dating, I'm thinking that maybe I should move out. And I don't think the Bai

family would do any harm to me anymore. I plan to move back to the Harkin Garden,"

Moore said as he moved his eyes from Zed to Jean.

Jean had expected that Moore would move out soon.

But she didn't expect it would happen so sooner.

"But still, you have to be cautious with the Bai family. Do what you think is best for you. I won't force

you to stay here." Jean sighed heavily and looked at Moore. "Although I'm sad, I understand that you

need your own space for your relationship with Avery to prosper. And I just hope you didn't make that

decision because of what you saw earlier."

Then Jean stared morosely at Zed.

Zed touched his nose idly. 'My fault again, Jean will not forgive me if that's Moore's reason of moving

out.'

"No, it's not," Moore grew anxious and quickly explained. "As a matter of fact, I already planned to

move out few days ago. I felt happy while living here, I really am. But I've recovered my health and I

have to think about my future."

"I see, now I understand." Jean nodded. "If I hadn't matched you up with Avery, you wouldn't move out

so early."

She stopped at the end of her sentence, leaned back on the chair and heaved a sigh.
