What an absurdity!
“Where did you hear such nonsense?”
What did she have to do with the legendary doctor Enoch?
Her fingers fumbled inside her sleeve. All her needles were gone. Waldo had anticipated her resistance and had taken them.

With a cruel swing, Waldo brought the steel pipe down.
