Chapter 110

Chapter 110

Chapter 110

Jarvis had only one son, and their father–son relationship was good. It was a given that the family fortune would one day be passed down to him.

He wanted to give Bainbridge a shot at proving he was a notch above Howard.

Warren took out the share transfer agreement, promptly signed it, and stamped his thumbprint. He then passed the pen to Bainbridge.

Bainbridge smiled from ear to ear. His hand trembled with excitement as he took the pen. Original from NôvelDrama.Org.

With his signature on this document, he would become the majority shareholder of the Chadwick Group!

“Son, sign it now,” urged Farrah.

“Bainbridge, sign it,” Warren said lightly.

“Yes, Grandfather! I will dedicate myself to expanding the Chadwick Group, taking it to greater heights under my leadership, Bainbridge pledged.

As all eyes were on him, Bainbridge fought to contain his overwhelming joy, uncapping the pen.

At that very moment, the doors to the banquet hall slowly opened, the gilded heavy doors groaning deeply.

Everyone turned to look, and Bainbridge paused in his action.

Howard bathed in the brilliant chandelier light came into the sight of all.

He e was dressed in a sharp, tailored black suit and seated in a wheelchair. His features were striking, his complexion pale, exuding an air of noble aloofness that was met with indifferent stares from the crowd. Gwendolyn by his side was petite, dressed in a light–colored gown, radiating a serene and ethereal grace.

“Howard!” Someone exclaimed in shock.

“Is that Howard? Is he regretting leaving the Chadwick family? I heard Jeannie almost fell victim to those spoiled brats yesterday.”

“Without the support of the Chadwick family, Howard is like fish on a chopping board, at the mercy of others.”

“How dare he show up here? Look at the faces of the Clarks.”

The Clarks were visibly enraged, glaring maliciously at Howard.

Whispers and varied expressions spread among the guests.

Herman shot Gemma a cold look, signaling her not to let Gwendolyn disrupt the day’s

proceedings.

Gemma quickly gathered her skirt and approached Gwendolyn.

“Gwendolyn, what are you doing in a place like this? Go home now,” Gemma hissed quietly. “Please, don’t embarrass me here. I’ve got enough troubles as it is!”

Gwendolyn returned her gaze calmly and firmly said, “Perhaps it’s time we signed a Disownment Declaration, publicly severing ties. That way, I won’t embarrass you again.”

“You…” Gemma looked at her with disgust.

Howard gripped Gwendolyn’s hand and said indifferently, “She’s with me and has nothing to do with the Sawyer family anymore.”

Warren’s face darkened on the stage as he coldly gazed at Howard.

He dared to cause a scene!

Farrah quickly added fuel to the fire. “Warren, don’t get upset. Howard probably regrets his mistake and wants to apologize. His attendance at your birthday celebration shows he still cares.”

“Hmph!”

Warren let out a scornful huff. “Care? Tell him to get lost! The position in the Chadwick family tree isn’t something you can claim or discard at will.”

After hearing Warren’s words, Farrah and Jarvis exchanged a relieved glance.

Bainbridge clenched his jaw and sneered. He took the microphone and stepped down the stage, slowly approaching Howard and Gwendolyn.

“Howard!” He yelled into the microphone, his voice echoing loudly and deafeningly around the room. “You pathetic good–for–nothing, how dare you show up at Grandpa’s birthday after leaving the family? Are you here to grovel and confess your wrongdoings?” Bainbridge looked at him with arrogant scrutiny.

Howard took out the specially crafted black invitation with gold embossing, unfolding it

before him.

He looked at Bainbridge calmly and said, “Weren’t you the one who invited me?”
