Alpha’s Predestined Bride

EPISODE 59 Her greatest fear

MOON STONE PACK

Alpha Carl Damien clasped his palms together with a disturbing look on his face. “He must have hurt her badly.” He mumbled.

Hazel shook her head slowly. “Meagan’s greatest fear is falling in love again because she thinks what happened in the past might repeat itself again. And not just that, my best friend feels that she would always be in the position to beg a man to love and stay with her.” She sniffed.

Alpha Carl’s mind drifted back to the day Meagan had found out that he is the alpha of moon stone pack. Meagan was angry he had hid the truth from her which resulted in her keeping a distance from him. The alpha recalled how he had sneaked into her room through the window just to have a conversation. How he had tried to convince her that he didn’t lie to get her in his bed. The facade which he didn’t mean to put on.

Meagan had ended the secret adventure and asked him to leave but it wasn’t what she wanted. In the end, she had turned to go find him but he was there. Right in front of her, she has touched him, held on to him, buried her face in the solid walls of his chest and cried. He remembered how his heart beat had skipped as he wrapped his arms around her, apologizing for his mistake.

At that point, he didn’t understand why she had cried so much but it was all clear to him now. The alpha knew what happened back then must have triggered some memories from her past.

Alpha Carl Damien closed his eyes to dwell on the memory of them sharing a passionate kiss. The look in her eyes as they stare at each other. The spark he had felt with him at that moment hits differently but he didn’t want to accept what his wolf was trying to tell him.

Now everything was different because he wanted her to be his mate.

“Meagan hates to make mistake or even fail at anything. What if I fall in love again and it doesn’t work out? What if I fail at it again? What if he takes advantage of me again? What if I am not good enough?” Hazel stopped to study the alpha’s face. He was listening attentively to all her words.

“She is good enough for me.” Alpha Carl said in a tight whisper.

“That’s how Meagan thinks in her head. So it might not be easy for her to get over these fears and insecurities.” Beta Julius replied.

“We can try to work things out. I’ll give her a solid assurance that I will love her with all my heart.” Alpha Carl said.

“Your action should speak louder than your words. But what if Meagan is still unwilling to be with you after doing your best at convincing her?” Hazel asked.

Alpha Carl Damien was silence. Beta Julius cleared his throat. “I advice you think about-”

“I am not going to give up on her. Meagan must be my mate or no one else.” Alpha Carl grounded out looking straight at the mated couple with a serious look on his face.

Beta Julius and Hazel knew his words was final. The alpha won’t back down on making Meagan his mate. As a strong will wolf, he would never agree to fail again. This time he was determined to get what he wants, a mate.

“Where is your cellphone?” Hazel demanded.

“It is in my office.” Alpha Carl Damien stood up and left the living room to get his cellphone.

“We can’t stop him from getting what he wants.” Beta Julius whispered to his mate and she shook her head.

“He is so head over heels for her. And I hope it works out this time.” Hazel mumbled.

“Why don’t you try to talk to Meagan?” Beta Julius suggested.

“You are right. But I’ll only step in if she refuses to accept his proposal.” Hazel replied.

Alpha Carl came back to the living room. “Here it is.” He handed the cellphone to Hazel after unlocking it.

Hazel pressed in Meagan’s phone number and she gave the phone back to him. “It’s Meagan’s number. Try to send her a text message first because if you put a call through to her it might scare her away.” She advised.

Alpha Carl Damien nodded in understanding.

“Hello, Meagan. I hope you are doing okay? We didn’t get to say a final goodbye at the wedding. I would be glad to see you again. Alpha Carl.” He read the text message he had typed to the mated couple.

“No, delete the part of seeing her again. That can come in later.” Hazel said.

“Alright.” Alpha Carl did as instructed. “Done.”

“We should wait for her response.” Beta Julius rubbed his temples.

“I have a favor to ask though.” Aloha Carl said.

“What is it?” The mated couple asked in unison.

“In case if you get to talk to her like you used to don’t let her know that I already told you about the secret adventure. It might really scare her away.” Alpha Carl answered.

“What if she ask how you got her contact?” Beta Julius questioned.

Alpha Carl tried to think. “Hmm.. I got it.. from the guesthouse records. All the visitors that lodged at the guesthouse dropped their phone numbers right?”Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

The mated couples nodded in agreement. “That’s a good one.”

Julius stood up from the couch. “We should get going.” He added.

Hazel stood up. “I wish you the best.” She flashed the alpha a small smile.

“Thank you.” Alpha Carl Damien accompanied the mated couple to the door, waved them goodbye and came back to sit on the couch.

He stared at his cellphone waiting for a response from Meagan until he fell asleep in the couch.
