“Stay where you are, don’t f***king move, Harlow,” he snapped at me.Leon is kicked, and he doubled over coughing, one hand on the ground as he wheezed when another man dragged the yardman off from the side, he was begging and pleading as he was dumped next to Leon. “Now Harlow, or I kill” he looks down at the Gardener. “Whoever this is,” he says waving the gun at him, he still stared at the mansion not realizing I was not in it.
“Five minutes out, the road is blocked!” Come’s Thane’s furious voice, when pain suddenly tore through me from Rhen, dropping me to my knees. Leon screamed, clutching his chest and I gasp for air, clutching my stomach as I feel Rhen’s tether breaking, feel all my mate’s agony only to look up and see men racing toward me. My internal scream I hadn’t realized was actually outward, I choke, and Leon gets to his feet, only to be hit in the head with the butt of the gun. I scrambled to my feet, fighting the agony of Rhen’s tether burning and tearing out my heart.
I look for another exit, cursing I didn’t run for the trees as I clutch my stomach. Glancing around, I see another door at the far end, and race toward it. I hear them hit the door squeezing through the gap and my fingers wrapped around the door handle only for someone to grip my hair, and rip me back.
“There you are, love,” a deep, rumbling voice says next to my ear. I thrash, kicking and fighting to get loose, when the other man grabbed my legs, hauling me out of the huge garage. The moment I was brought out, Leon got to his feet and charged at them, only to be shot twice in the back when the gardener also attacked Corbin.
Leon staggered, dropping to his knees, a second later, another gunshot rang out and the gardener dropped in a heap on the ground. Leon wheezed, one hand clutched his hip where the bullet went all the way through, his shoulder also bleeding, but he was alive for now.
Corbin lifted his gun and shot again, Leon twisted, yet the bullet hit him, and he slumped to the ground, I screamed feeling pain tear through my ribs, the same spot he was hit. I thrash harder.
when I see Alpha Corbin walking over to us, yet all I kept thinking was why aren’t the officials doing anything, they just stood and watched.
I am placed on the ground at Corbin’s feet, the man who killed Hana walked over to him, and smirked looking down at me.
“Exactly like her mother,” he said, tilting my face from side to side with his gun. Tears streamed down my face, trying to figure out why he was doing this, it made no sense to me. Leon I saw was trying to get up from the ground when another man put his foot on his back, and shoved him down.
“Stay down, enough people have died to today,” the man said. Leon looked at me and I pleaded with my eyes for him to listen to him, he clenched his jaw. “That we’ll have to take care of,” Corbin growls, nudging my stomach with his foot, I use my arms to cover it and growl at him..
He laughed. “Feisty like her mother, too,” he snarled, making my brows pinch together as I stared at him. He smiled back at me sadistically. “Leo, chuck her in the car!” He said to the man who killed Hana, and he instantly reached for me, I scrambled back on my hands and feet as he stalked me.
“Are the roads still blocked off?” Corbin asks one of the officials, they both nod.” Yes, but we can’t keep it blocked for long,”one man says, when this Leo person grabbed my arm. I lashed out kicking, and my claws extended, slashing down his face.
He growled and Leon screamed when he stomped on me, I moved quickly and instead of him stomping my stomach lie stomped on my shoulder. “Try it again, and I will cut it from you right now,” he snarled, wiping his face on the back of his arm. I whimpered, as he pressed his foot down harder on my shoulder, my face turned, and I saw Leon get knocked out, and he falls limp on the ground.
The man grabbed me and started dragging me to the car by my hair, the gravel ripping apart my back, a*s and legs as I kicked my legs trying to get traction to stand.
“Now we just gotta find the other one,” I hear Corbin say, just as I was tossed in the back of the car.
“Bree said she is with that Alpha Jake,” Bree? I blink, wondering what she has to do with this. The car door slammed and Leo climbed in the car beside me when I heard the sound of an engine screaming up the street. Leo leaned forward, peering out the windshield, and Alpha Corbin fell into the passenger seat and looked at the official who was in the driver seat. The other men run for their cars. “I thought you said the roads were blocked!” Corbin snapped at the official.
“They are,” the man stammered when Corbin spun in his seat and kicked the man, shoving him out his open door before climbing into the driver’s seat.
“Corbin?” Leo growled beside me.
“We can outrun him,” Corbin said, starting the car. The engine roared to life, and he turned the car slightly, and I saw Thane’s car skidding into the long driveway just as Corbin guns it, throwing me back in my seat only to be cut off by one of the other cars. Forcing him to slam the brakes on.
I giggled and Leo glared at me, gripping the back of the driver’s seat. “You’re so f***ked,” I tell him, reaching for the door handle. Leo growls, reaching for me, and I jump from the vehicle. Leo snarled, and I landed on the ground on my hands and knees. Just as the cars took off, Leo fell from the vehicle with me having grabbed the back of my shirt. Corbin doesn’t wait; he guns the engine, leaving his mate behind or not realizing he did as he plowed toward Thane’s car.
Leo grabbed me, and I throw my head back as he tried to wrangle me, my head hits his face, and he grunts dropping me just as I heard the two cars collide, my eyes moved to the scene to find Corbin’s car spin out of control, before he floors it, and slammed sideways out the gate. The other two cars
slammed on their brakes to avoid smashing into Thane’s car, one zips off around it, escaping with Corbin when Thane tossed his car door open.
A furious growl echoed around us. Leo froze, staring off in the car’s direction, when the third car started reversing.
Thane started stalking towards the third car, and if looks could kill, they would die the most agonizing death.
Within seconds, he had shifted and his huge mammoth of a wolf dove straight through the front window of the car. The men’s screams were loud as the car
rocked from side to side, and started rolling forward, Leo gasped, before grabbing my arm, hauling me to my feet.
I kicked my legs, screaming for Leon and Thane as he started dragging me toward the treeline. I dropped my weight, i slipping out of his grip when I heard the–car prang Thane’s car. Leo stopped, glancing over his shoulder before he snarled, grabbing my hair. Twisting, my hair ripped out painfully, and I kicked him between the legs.
I heard Leon groan as he staggered to his feet, my eyes darted to him briefly, costing me precious time, when Leo snagged my ankle dragging me back to him. “Leon!” I screamed as Leo pinned me, his knee pressed down on my groin area as he tried to grab my shoulders, when feet suddenly appeared beside my head. Leo froze, his eyes widened, and my eyes moved past his shoulder to see Thane standing next to us, naked, drenched in blood.
Leo lurched off me and scrambled backward, Thane stepped over me. “You touched my Omega,” Leo shook his head,.
“Corbin, he—”
“You touched my mate,” Thane deadpanned, his voice ice-cold and his steps calculating, as Leo backed up and Thane stalked him, Leo now his prey. Leo’s face twisted into a snarl, and he shifted at the same time Thane does, and they started ripping into each other.
