Alpha’s Other Halfs

“How do we get to her?” Jaden asked with tears filled in his eyes

“Now, that’s the problem” I said

“No, we have a bigger problem at hand.” Lucy said

“And what could that be my lady?” Willow asked

“The one that did this is definitely coming back for us. And we don’t even know who she is” Lucy said

“And with our father in this state, we have a bigger problem” She added

“All we need to do now is to find mum”Jaden said

“How can you find someone who doesn’t want to be found?” Lucy asked

“I don’t know but we have to do something we can just sit here ” Jaden said

“He’s right. We have to prepare for what’s coming.” Willow said

“Lucy, come with me.” I said to Lucy and she nodded her head in response and followed me

“Jaden and I will look after him for now” Willow said and I and Lucy exited the room.

Heading towards our room, I wondered how to reach our mother. It’s been days and she has not reached out. I turned to Lucy who walked beside me, she looked really tensed. I could see the fear in her just looking at her face because it is written all over her face. Getting to the room, I took out the spell book and asked her to help me so that we could cast a containment spell to keep us safe for now.

“Help out with the containment spell please?” I asked Lucy

“Me?” She said looking around as if there was another person with us in the room

“Yes, you. Who else would I be talking to if not you?” I asked

“But I don’t have magic powers like you” she said

“Yes you don’t have powers like me but you have powers” I said to her

“How? I don’t understand ” she asked

“I have read about witches like you back at home. You have powers, but you can’t use them on your own except you connect to someone who has magic or something magical before you can cast I spell.” I said to her.

“Are you sure about that?” She asked

“Yes, I’m sure now help out with this.” I said to her as she sat down with me on the floor.

“What spell is this again?” She asked

“It’s a containment spell. All you have to do is to repeat after me” I said to her and she nodded in response

I asked her to stretch out her hands and she did. I placed mine on top of hers, closed my eyes and began to chant the containment spell and she repeated after me.

Finally, we were done. I opened my eyes and asked her to open hers.

“You can open your eyes now” I said to her as she opened her eyes

“It’s done” I said to her

“You could do this by yourself, why did you want me to do cast the spell with you?” she asked

“That’s because, if I should cast the spell alone, it would be easy for any witch to tear it down but with our magic combined, it will take a long time before anyone can bring it down” I explained

“Okay. Can I ask you for something?” She asked

“Yes, you can” I replied

“Could you please teach me some spells?” She asked

“Yes of course. Let me know when you are ready” I said to her

“Okay. I will” she replied

“And also, you can make use of my spell book anytime ” I said to her

“Can I use it now?” She asked

“Yes, you can” I replied as she took the spell book and left the room.

~Jaden’s POV~

The next day, Father’s got worse and mother still hasn’t made contact with us.

“He has gone deeper into his sleep, if we don’t do anything now, He might end like this forever and we might end up losing him,” Willow said

“You’ve been sitting here for since yesterday, go freshen up and have something to eat” he added

“Okay, I will be back.” I said to him as I went to my room.

After freshening up, I came down to eat and found Rhea and Lucy already sitted with the food in front of them untouched. I sat with down and for the first time it everything felt so awkward not having father eat with us.

“Have you heard anything from mother?” I asked Rhea

“Not yet. She hasn’t but I’m sure she will ” Rhea said.

“I’ve lost my appetite ” I said looking at the food

“Same here” Lucy and Rhea said looking at their food

We all stood up and went to fathers room and found Willow holding his hands.

“What’s going on?” I asked

“I was just talking to him when he suddenly grabbed my hands” Willow said showing us Fathers grip.

He tried to pull away but his grip was firm.

“Help me” father said as a drop of tear fell from his eyes

We were all surprised at what was going on and at the same time confused on what to do.

“He’s trapped somewhere in his mind and he is trying to get out” Willow said

“I think for the meantime, we have to engage him in a conversation till we find your mother so that we won’t loose him.” He added

“Yes, he is right. At least it will buy us some time to get mum” Rhea said

“But I don’t think we are safe here” I said to them

“Don’t worry about that. We already used the containment spell. So we are safe for now” Rhea said

“You said it yourself, it’s a witch we are up against. She could tear down the spell like before” I said to Rhea

“What do you mean by before?” Lucy asked

“Don’t worry, trust me we are safe for now” Rhea assured

“Even if she tries to tear it down, it will take time before she could do that.” She added

“How long could that be?” I asked.

“It will take her at least three to four days before she can bring this one down.” She replied

“That’s not enough time though but let’s see how it goes” Willow said

“We have to prepare for the worst. We don’t know what’s coming” he added

~Greeta’s POV~

“We attack at dawn” Greeta said to Eric

“Now, I’m beginning to like you” Eric said

“After a long wait, I will finally get to ripped out that little brats heart with my bare hands” Eric thought to himself

“You can have the boy while I take care of the girl” Greeta said to Eric
