Chapter 98
Ava flickered weakly in the recesses of my mind, her energy still recovering from our ordeal. I could feel the weight of despair pressing down on me as I gazed at Claude, crumpled on the floor, blood pooling around him. His fate was uncertain, and I feared I might join him soon. Alpha Rambo loomed before us, a twisted smile spreading across his face as he injected himself with yet another vial of that cursed potion.
Each time the needle pierced his skin, I could see the power coursing through him, swelling like a dark storm. My heart raced as I felt the grip of hopelessness tightening around my throat, making it harder to breathe. I was no match for him in this state; my strength was ebbing, and fear threatened to swallow me whole.
He grabbed me by my throat and lifted me up in the air. I was trembling. Anger, pain, fear. Hopelessness.
Just as I was about to surrender to the darkness creeping in at the edges of my vision, something flickered at the far end of the hall. My breath caught in my throat as I blinked, half-expecting them to vanish like smoke.
No this can't be.
I am dreaming, Indeed I am.
But no, they were real-Nathan and Tristan, storming towards me like avenging angels. Nathan was filled with rage and worry.
My vision blurred but my heart surged with a hope I dared not believe.
I hit the ground hard, gasping for air as my strength faded. But the moment I fell, a primal instinct surged within me.
Rambo stepped forward, fueled by the potions coursing through his veins. "You think you can challenge me? Look at her!" His voice was a thunderclap. "She's nothing now."
Alpha Rambo sneered at them, his confidence seemingly unaffected. "You're too late, boys. I've already won." He injected himself again, muscles rippling under the strain as he prepared to unleash his newfound strength. Each dose transformed him, making him more monstrous, and I couldn't shake the thought that this power was tainted, poisoned by the witch's dark magic.
"Ava," I whispered through my mindlink, struggling to focus as the world around me blurred. "Is there anything we can do?"
She stirred within me, her voice barely a whisper.
I remember a spell, Ella. It's risky, but it might be our only chance. You need to trust me.
I latched onto her words, pushing against the suffocating fear. "What do I need to do?"
Recite the incantation I'll guide you through. You have the power of the white wolf within you. Use it.
With the twins' determination behind me, I found my voice, a spark igniting in my chest as I locked eyes with Rambo. "You're not going to win this," I shouted, channeling every ounce of my energy into the spell Ava was teaching me.
"Such bravery," Rambo taunted, but I could see the uncertainty flickering in his eyes. It only fueled my resolve.
As I recited the incantation, the words flowed through me, a tidal wave of light against the encroaching darkness. "By the light of the moon and the purity of my soul, I cast away darkness, and let this curse take its toll!"
Rambo's expression twisted from arrogant amusement to sheer horror as he staggered back, clutching his throat, blood boiling in his veins like molten lava. "What have you done?" he gasped, disbelief flooding his features.
"Everything," Nathan roared, charging forward with Tristan at his side. Their united force crashed against Rambo like an unstoppable storm, each blow striking with the ferocity of a thunderclap.
"Get him!" Tristan shouted,noveldrama
unleashing a powerful kick that sent Rambo reeling. I was transfixed, watching their movements, a
breathtaking dance of primal el
and raw emotion as they fought not just for me, but for everything they believed in.
The darkness threatening to consume me began to recede, replaced by a fierce light ignited by their determination. "You're not alone, Ella!" Nathan called, his eyes locking onto mine. "We're here!"
"Together!" I echoed, feeling the tide of strength surging through me.
With one final, desperate roar,
Rambo's defiance shattered, and he fell to the ground, his strength snuffed out like a candle in the wind. Silence enveloped the hallway, thick and heavy, the echoes of battle fading into an eerie stillness. My heart raced, pounding against my ribs, as disbelief washed over me.
The twins rushed to my side, their faces a mixture of relief and concern, eyes wide as they absorbed the reality of our victory.
"Ella, are you okay?" Nathan knelt beside me, hands trembling as he cupped my face.
“I—I'm okay,” I stammered, overwhelmed by the intensity of the moment.
Their touch felt like a balm to my wounds, they were healing me with their touch.
Tristan wrapped his strong arms around us, pulling us close. "We thought we lost you," he murmured, his voice thick with emotion.
“I couldn't let that happen," I whispered, leaning into their embrace. “Not after everything we've fought for."
Nathan pressed his forehead against mine, eyes fierce. "We'll always come for you, Ella. Always."
"Together, we're unstoppable," Tristan added, squeezing my hand tightly.
In that moment, surrounded by the warmth of their love, I felt a renewed sense of purpose. The battle may have been won, but our journey was just beginning. The bonds that held us together were forged in fire, and together, we would face whatever darkness awaited us next.
