Chapter 429 Cindy Is Coming Back
Chapter 429 Cindy Is Coming Back
Linda knew that the principal was mad at her, but the feeling was mutual. She could do nothing about it,
nor did she want to do anything to fix it. Now that they both held grudges against each other, it might do
them good to speak their frustrations out.
She was not afraid of him.
Linda headed toward her own office after she had left the principal's office. It was the second time for
her to visit the principal in just one day. Now, she was feeling a little exhausted given her condition.
She got ready and asked for a leave in the afternoon, so she could go together with Anna to have her
prenatal checkup in the hospital.
The baby was very healthy.
Linda was relieved to hear that piece of news. The health of her child was the only thing that mattered
to her at the moment. She would leave the other things up to the gods.
While Linda was at the hospital, she stopped by Donna's ward to check on her. Donna was on her road
to recovery. She could be discharged from the hospital in a few days. With some medication, her illness
could be kept under control.
Donna was happy to see Linda with her gradually protruding belly.
Inside the ward
"I'll ask the doctor to perform another checkup on you. If you are in good condition, then you can leave
the hospital and stay at home. Confining yourself at the hospital will not do you any good!"
Linda said to her mother while peeling an apple.
"Okay. I have been feeling well these days. It seems that I have fully recovered from the illness."
"Father is waiting for you at home!"
Donna said with a sigh, "Well... I feel somewhat guilty. After all, it was I who had wronged your father in
the first place."
"Stop obsessing about these things. Everything is fine now. What's past is past." Donna seemed to
have been blaming herself for what had happened that year.
Linda knew that was how her mother would react, so she said nothing more.
"By the way, I have something to tell you. Your sister is coming back, " said Donna after a short pause.
"What? Cindy will be back?"
Linda beamed with excitement. She couldn't help but smile at the thought of her sister Cindy. She was
very naughty, but she would do whatever Linda told her to do due to their close relationship with each
other.
Although she was rebellious and mischievous, Linda still treated her as a dear sister and showered her
with so much love.
Cindy was the biological daughter of Donna.
The lack of blood ties between Cindy and Linda did no harm to their intimate sisterhood.
Linda hadn't seen Cindy for almost two years!
Linda found the mischief of Cindy both funny and annoying. When Cindy was little, she liked to fiddle
with computers. She had a natural interest in it, so during her first year in high school, she hacked into
the inner network of Public Security Bureau, resulting in a ten-minute shutdown of its entire system.
Her acts were in violation of state laws. Yet, an outstanding talent was always treasured in the country,
so after graduating from high school, she was sent to the University of National Defense where she
was put under a renowned professor in the department of computer science. Now, she had finished her
schooling... Oh wait. It would take four years to graduate from a university, but she would leave after
two years or so. Linda wondered maybe Cindy was just back for vacation or something?
She didn't really give it much thought, though, because she was happy to have Cindy back. She hadn't
seen her for a long time.
She was sure that Cindy would be pleased to meet Lily Jiang. Both being experts in computer science,
they had to have so much in common.
"Yes, the semester is about to end. With the holidays coming, she has decided to come home in July."
Linda came to realize that the summer vacation was fast approaching. It was truly a delight to have
Cindy back.
She handed over the peeled apple to Donna and washed her hands. They talked for a while, and then
Linda told her to take care and left the ward some time later.
Ever since Linda returned the Mu's villa after she got married, Lily Jiang had moved into the school and
lived there. She was a student, so it was normal for her to live in the dormitory. However, the dormitory
would be closed during the summer holidays. Linda was thinking about inviting Lily over to stay for
some time. She missed her, for Lily had accompanied her during her stay at the Nalan clan's house.
On her ride home, Linda called Nelson up.
Nelson was very surprised to have received her call.
"My Lady, what do you need?"
"Lily is about to have her summer vacation, right? Please take some time to ask her if she would be
willing to come over to keep me company, and bring her over to my place if she is."
"Yes, all right."
Nelson sounded calm on the phone, but his heart had almost jumped out of his chest. He was eager to
see Lily. He hadn't seen her since she returned to school. Nelson couldn't find any particular reason to
go see her. Moreover, he was not very good at expressing himself. As such, he had to live with his This is property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
lovesickness and yearning.
The same went for Lily. She was wondering why Nelson hadn't showed up ever since she left the Nalan
clan's home.
He hadn't come for her, not even once.
Maybe, it was because they were not officially in a relationship. Such was the case with two single
people. After all, Nelson was slow in reacting when it came to love affairs.
Now, with a valid errand, Nelson drove his car and headed directly toward Z University in a cheerful
mood.
Z University was sponsored by the Nalan clan, and Nelson was personally responsible for most of its
businesses.
Many of the management personnel at the university wanted to be on his good side.
He was sort of a senior staff member.
He was here for Lily this time, so he tried to keep it down. If his memory had served him right, he still
recalled her classroom number and her class schedule. She had two lectures of history and humanities
this afternoon, and she would be ready to leave at around five o'clock.
Nelson waited for a while by the entrance of her classroom. He had caught a glimpse of Lily. Unable to
repress his eagerness, he knocked on the door straightaway.
When the door opened, Nelson told the teacher, "Sorry, I'm late. Can I come inside?"
Glancing at him, the teacher was quite shocked. As a senior professor at the department of history, he
had been teaching in the university for a very long time. Thus, he recognized Nelson right away. Nelson
would attend all these award ceremonies of the university. These teachers knew him by heart.
'Isn't he the person, assigned by the Nalan clan, who is responsible for most of the school
affairs?'
