A Vengeful Girl

Chapter 260 Horrible!

Chapter 260 Horrible!

"Can I ask you something?"

Linda cast a glance at Stacy. She had been waiting for Anna the whole time before she commenced

her questioning.

She wasn't going to start with the rope and chair, as she had something better in mind.

Stacy still remained silent but Linda still spoke to her even though she received no answer.

"Why did you push me into the water? What did Rosy promise you?"

Stacy was startled by the question.

It was impossible that Linda knew it was her, because Stacy had made sure that she covered herself

properly to avoid detection. She wore a mask, so that no one could identify her face.

How did Linda know it was her?

In fact, even though she was fully covered yesterday, Stacy's scent was imprinted in Linda's mind.

Linda was sensitive to chilli and vinegar, and just when Stacy pushed her, Linda caught a strong whiff

of chilli.

As Sichuanese people liked chilli, similar to how her assailant smelled like, Linda zeroed in on Stacy as

the only logical suspect.

Her sense of smell had never failed her, so she concluded that, Rosy was the one that pushed her.

She was just waiting for the DNA verification.

Anna had been to Rosy's room and took the evidence yesterday. As long as the DNA sample coincided

with that found in the plum garden, the perpetrator would be confirmed.

Anna had taken the DNA samples to the private hospital to test this morning, and left her contact

information that they could reach her on when the hospital got the result.

"What are you talking about? I don't understand! I repeat that you are detaining me illegally. You'd

better let me go now." Stacy purposely avoided the question.

"All right. I will show you what I'm talking about. Nel, tie her up!" Linda smiled gently.

"Yes, My Lady!"

Nelson did as Linda asked.

He tied the thick rope around Stacy so tightly that she yelped in pain, "What do you want? That hurts.

Let go of me! This is wrong!"

"Cry as much as you like. No one will come. Are you expecting Rosy to come to your rescue? Forget

about it! You are just a pawn in her hand." Linda said, delightedly.

Then she clarified, "Not exactly. You are an abandoned pawn, to be more precise."

Stacy Kang, tell me the truth, otherwise I have thousands of ways to make you speak!"

"I don't know what you are talking about and it had nothing to do with Lady Rosy. Release me!"

Since she had received moeny from Lady Rosy, Stacy was not inclined to give her up.

"Whether Rosy was involved or not, I think you know it. Tell me, what did she give you? Luxuries?

Money? Or did she threaten you?"

Linda listed the three choices slowly, so as to gauge her reaction.

Stacy became restless when Linda mentioned money. She, therefore, deduced that Stacy must have

worked for Rosy for the sake of money.

She must have planned to enrich her pockets before she left since she had resigned two weeks ago.

"It's all for money, right? How much money did she offer to you?

10, 000? 50, 000? Or 100, 000?"

Linda asked as if she was talking to herself, but stole a few glances towards Stacy.

"You won't go crazy for just 10, 000, would you?"

Stacy was surprised, wondering why the woman before her, the so-called Lady, seemed to see through

the scheme.

She was just making wild guesses that were leading to the truth.

She was so tight-lipped that Linda had to play her trump card.

Linda signaled Anna, who took the hint and walked over with a needle and a vial of liquid from the kit Têxt belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

on the table.

Anna displayed the vial in front of her. "Do you know what this is?"

Stacy's eyes landed on the label, which read as potassium chloride.

She had no idea what it was.

"Do you know anything about potassium chloride? Do you know what will happen if you're injected with

it? Let me tell you."

Stacy shook her head in panic.

"You will die in a minute." Anna's lips formed the sentence as easily as eating food.

"Are you going to kill me? No... Let me go! I don't know anything, please." Stacy struggled violently.

Linda stood by, laughing. Anna had planned to use some glucose to bluff but now took a real vail of

potassium chloride.

Intravenous injection with potassium chloride indeed would kill people on the spot.

"So what? Have you ever thought of the consequences when you pushed Her Ladyship into the water?

We don't need your confession anymore. We have collected the DNA you left in the plum garden. It

should coincide with the sample I collected from your room since you are the one who did it." Anna

pounded the desk, and a loud bang echoed in the room.

"Yes, it was me! What are you going to do?"

Stacy admitted, seeing that she couldn't escape from it. Since the money for her parent's life expenses

and her brother's tuition had been transferred to an account, she asked for no more.

She knew that the deal she made with Rosy would come back to bite her in the ass, but she didn't

expect it happen so soon.

She blamed the bad luck that seemed to keep following her.

"Who put you up to do this? Rosy Nalan?"

"No, it had nothing to do with anyone! I did it! I did!"

Linda didn't buy it. Why would a resigned staff push her into the water without any reason? Only a

handful of people in Nalan clan knew about the existence of Linda Xia, and Stacy was not one of them.

"Tell me the truth!"

Linda calmly smiled and said to Nelson, "Cover her eyes. Let's see if you can guess which side the

potassium chloride is going to be injected in?"
