A Night With The Ruthless Mafia Don

Chapter 46: Forbidden Affection

At an unknown location, a black heep could be seen driving inside a very large compound. Inside the compound were dozens of guards with heavily loaded weapons in their hands.

The Jeep pulled up at the driveway, and one of the guards went to open the backseat door. A lady dressed in black jacket and black trousers stepped out of the vehicle. On the lady’s head was a black face-cap and on her face was a pair of dark sunglasses. She also made use of a black nose cover.

The lady surveyed the environment, and she began walking towards the entrance of the mansion. She was respectfully greeted by the guards as she entered inside the mansion.

Inside the mansion, the lady made her way upstairs as if she already knew her way around. Once she was upstairs, she walked down the wide hallway for about thirty seconds, then she stopped in front of a door which had two guards standing in front of it.

The two guards bowed and greeted the lady, then one of them opened the door for her. The lady nodded at the guards before stepping inside the room.

Inside the large and luxurious room was an elderly man, seated on a couch with a stick of cigarette in-between his lips and a glass of red wine in his hand. The room was dimly lit so it was kinda difficult to see the man’s face clearly.

“Greetings, boss,” the lady bowed as she greeted the elderly man.

“Any information on the target?” The man asked with a husky voice as he blew out smoke from his mouth.

“The target has been abducted by Alejandro Gambino, and she is currently in the Gambinos’ empire,” the lady answered.

“What about her son?” The man inquired.

“Her son is under our tight surveillance,” the lady replied.

“That’s good. Make sure you keep a close watch on both the target and her son. The both of them are our secret weapons against the Gambino family,” the man said.

“Understood, sir.” The lady bowed.

“You can leave.” The man said with a dismissive wave of his hand.

The lady bowed once again before walking out of the room. Once the lady was out of the room, the man rose from his seat and walked towards the closed window. He opened the window slightly, and he took a long drag from his cigarette as he gazed out the window.

He exhaled softly, his lips curling into a wide smirk, then he said, “Very soon, the Gambino twins are gonna bow at my feet and beg for mercy. Very soon, I will be the most feared Mafia lord in the underworld.”

Meanwhile, at the Gambinos empire, Marisa was in her room, standing by the window, observing the bustling activities below. Dozens of gardeners meticulously tended to the lush flowers and plants in the expansive compound. Meanwhile, burly men in black suits patrolled the area, their stern faces hidden behind dark shades, and earpieces securely in place.

As Marisa took in the scene, her thoughts involuntarily drifted to the harrowing moment when Alexandro had nearly shot her and the subsequent violent confrontation between the twins and Salvador. The vivid image of Salvador’s lifeless body haunted her, triggering a sense of fear and uncertainty.

“Those men are ruthless, especially Alejandro,” Marisa muttered to herself, recalling the chilling moments that had unfolded in this dangerous world of mobsters.

“Will I even be safe here?” Marisa muttered again in fear.

Her contemplation was abruptly interrupted as the door swung open without warning, startling Marisa.

“Fuck!” she cursed, turning to face the intruder. It was Blade, wearing a fierce expression that immediately conveyed she wasn’t one to be trifled with.

“Hey,” Marisa greeted with a forced smile, keenly aware of Blade’s no-nonsense demeanor. She understood the importance of avoiding trouble, especially in a place teeming with mobsters.

“Who are you?” Blade inquired with a cold tone as she approached Marisa.

“I’m Marisa,” she replied, maintaining her artificial smile.

Blade, unimpressed, took a seat on the nearest couch. “Marisa, do you know where you are?” she asked, her tone sharp.

“Ummm… I’m in a mafia house,” Marisa replied, nervously chuckling.

Blade smirked and settled into the couch. “Mafia house, huh? Well, I guess you haven’t heard about the Gambino family.”

“Ummm… I don’t really know much about Mafia families,” Marisa admitted, her nervous smile betraying her uncertainty.

Blade, maintaining her formidable demeanor, uncrossed and recrossed her legs, assuming a regal posture. “Well, I’ll enlighten you about the Gambino family,” she declared, her tone commanding attention. “We’re the most feared mafia family globally. Only the heartless and the strongest individuals earn a place within our ranks.” Blade paused, then rose to her feet.

Approaching Marisa, she stood squarely in front of her, a scrutinizing gaze fixed upon her. “You look weak and… helpless,” Blade stated bluntly, causing Marisa’s fake smile to fade. “So, I was wondering what brought you to a place meant for the strong alone. What the hell are you doing in this empire?”

Blade’s words struck a nerve, and Marisa felt a surge of frustration at being perceived as weak. The frown that replaced her forced smile revealed her displeasure. Despite her anger, Marisa decided to respond with a hint of defiance.

“Hey, young lady. I don’t know who the hell you are, and I don’t wanna know. Whoever you are or whatever position you hold in this place, you don’t have the right to speak to me with that tone. You’re in no damn position to call me weak or helpless!” Marisa asserted with a serious tone that caught Blade off guard.

Before Marisa could utter another word, Blade delivered a heated and resounding slap across her face. Marisa gasped in shock, feeling the impact, and instinctively touched her right cheek while staring at Blade with wide-eyed disbelief.

“It seems like you don’t know me, bitch,” Blade declared with a deadly smirk. “I’m Blade, Alejandro’s woman, and your worst nightmare.”

The initial shock that gripped Marisa slowly transformed into seething anger. In a split second, she retaliated, delivering two consecutive slaps that resonated through the room, a sudden burst of defiance against the perceived insult.

“Did you just slap me?” Blade asked with an angry smirk.

“Yeah, I slapped you, and I won’t hesitate to slap you again if you look down on me or call me any sort of useless name,” Marisa declared, her face fierce with determination.

Blade’s anger surged, and she angrily drew a dagger from her waist sheath. Marisa instinctively started shifting backward as Blade advanced, the dagger glinting dangerously in her hand.

“How dare you slap me, you insolent bitch?” Blade seethed, her menacing expression intensifying as she closed in on Marisa.

“Hey… look, I’m sorry for slapping you,” Marisa apologized, continuing to retreat until her back met the wall.

“I’m gonna cut off your fingers and feed them to you; then, you’ll learn to respect and obey me,” Blade threatened, fury burning in her eyes as she raised the dagger, preparing to strike Marisa.

“Touch a strand of her hair and consider yourself dead!” a commanding voice stated, causing Blade to halt her impending attack.

Marisa shifted her gaze towards the source of the voice, a wave of relief washing over her as she spotted Alejandro standing by the doorway. A stick of a lighted cigarette dangled between his pink lips, giving him an air of nonchalance that contradicted the tension in the room.

Alejandro’s presence injected an immediate stillness into the charged atmosphere. The air seemed to thicken as Blade turned her attention to him, her anger momentarily subdued by the authority exuded by the man at the doorway.

Without uttering a word, Alejandro took a casual drag from his cigarette, the smoke curling around him like an ephemeral shield. His gaze, however, bore a stern warning that cut through the tension in the room.

Blade, sensing the gravity of the situation, slowly lowered the dagger, her eyes locked onto Alejandro. Marisa, pressed against the wall, watched the silent exchange between the two with a mix of gratitude and caution.

“I don’t tolerate internal conflicts,” Alejandro finally spoke, the words laced with a quiet intensity. “Blade, put the damn dagger away.”NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.

Blade hesitated for a moment, her defiance meeting Alejandro’s unwavering gaze. Reluctantly, she sheathed the dagger, casting a final venomous glare at Marisa before stepping back.

“Now, get the hell out of this room,” Alejandro commanded, his tone leaving no room for argument and surprising Blade.

“Me? Get out?” Blade questioned in disbelief.

“Are you deaf or what? I said get the hell out of here!” Alejandro retorted, his voice elevated, emphasizing the urgency of his directive.

Blade, visibly taken aback by Alejandro’s forceful command, hesitated for a moment before reluctantly making her way towards the exit. Her earlier aggression seemed to crumble in the face of Alejandro’s authority.

As Blade exited the room, Alejandro redirected his focus to Marisa, his expression inscrutable. The charged atmosphere lingered, and Marisa could sense the weight of Alejandro’s scrutiny.

“You’re new here, and you’re already causing trouble,” Alejandro remarked with a cold edge, entering the room fully and shutting the door behind him. “You could have gotten yourself killed back there. You know that, right?”

“What do you care if I get myself killed?” Marisa replied, a slight frown creasing her forehead as Alejandro approached her.

Closing the distance between them, Alejandro wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her closer while holding a cigarette in his other hand. He took a puff before speaking, his voice calm and gentle. “You’re my sweetheart, Marisa, and it would really break my heart to see you hurt or dead.”

For a moment, Alejandro’s words warmed Marisa’s heart. However, the memory of him allowing Alexandro to shoot her earlier cast a shadow on the sentiment, and she frowned.

“I know you don’t give a damn about me, so stop talking like you do,” she retorted, and Alejandro shook his head slowly.

“No, sweetheart. I genuinely care about you,” Alejandro insisted. “You belong to me, so why wouldn’t I care about you?”

The distance between them was little, and Marisa couldn’t help but shift her gaze to his cute tempting lips which seemed to beckon her. Alejandro smirked when he noticed her staring at his lips.

“You seem attracted to me, sweetheart,” Alejandro said, and Marisa embarrassingly took her gaze off him.

Alejandro took the last puff from his cigarette, then he threw it out the window before averting his gaze back to Marisa.

“Sweetheart,” Alejandro whispered as he began tracing Marisa’s face gently with his finger. He traced her face down to cleavage before leaning in, then he whispered, “How about we do something more fun?”
