“Petra is just an opportunist, yes I made the one night mistake with her in which she blackmailed me to get married to her saying she’s pregnant, causing me to break my relationship with the love of my life, Skyler” I heard Alex say or should I say saw Alex say.

I couldn’t take it anymore, so I flung the phone against the wall.

“Why? why? Why does Alex have to do this?” I asked no one in particular as they all kept staring at me with Kate drawing me into a hug.

“I don’t remember telling Alex I was even pregnant, so something is definitely wrong somewhere” I added

“Alex found out I was pregnant, only when I got kidnapped” I said

Just then Mrs Rose, our wedding planner, called mom’s phone.

“Mom I want to hear everything she says please” I said as mom nodded to my request, picking up the call.

“Hello Rose,” Kate said into the phone.

“Hello Kate, Alex called and asked to cut off every wedding preparations, hope all is well?” She said, also adding a question.

“Thanks Rose, I will get back to you” mom replied and hung up.

“It’s obvious Alex just wanted to use me and there was no real love” I cried on mom’s shoulder.

“Don’t stress it honey, we will get to the bottom of this” she said stroking my hair.

“Could Alex truly be this heartless or there is something behind it” I thought to myself.

“I must find Alex wherever he is hiding and get to the bottom of this stupidity”.. I thought again.

“I am fine” I said, cleaning my tears and forcing a smile.

“You haven’t eaten anything Pet, if not for yourself but for your baby sake please” Ari said and I nodded.

“I will go get you something to eat then” Kelly said standing up.

“It’s okay baby, we will be fine” I thought as I rubbed my belly, trying to reassure myself and maybe my child too.

I recall when Alex would rub my tummy at night and talk to our baby and now he is saying the baby actually isn’t his.

As much as it hurts to see all those headlines and those hate from people commenting, something still tells me that a normal Alex wouldn’t do that.

“But he is proud, he actually said hateful things to you after the night you both spent together and also when you called wanting to tell him about your baby” my subconscious told me.

“I know but all that was just a misunderstanding, we already settled things” I thought trying to convince myself.

“Ooops i actually said that out loud”I thought.

” Yes you did” she Ari replied and i mentally facepalm myself.

“Where is Liam?” I asked , suddenly realising he is no longer in the room with us.

“He walked out earlier,” Preston replied.

Just then Kelly walked in with my food.

“Man are you crazy!!” I shouted punching Alex.

The idiot messaged me earlier to meet him when Petra was reading the headlines.

“Man calm down” he managed to say trying to get up but i punched him again.

“Calm down!!! Did you just calm down, you idiot?” I shouted hitting the wall frustrated by his stupidity.

“I called you here so I can confide in you!!” he shouted, causing me to calm down a little.

“Yes I did all that Liam, but you know Skyler is blackmailing me don’t you?!” he added.

“Stop this man, what level of blackmail would she be able to carry out on you?” I asked in disbelief.

“That night at school, remember that night we had this party at school and I got drunk?” he asked in tears.

“All my life I haven’t seen my friend this vulnerable, this sad and it shows only one thing Skyler has really gotten to him this time”. I thought as I nodded to his question.

“That night I wasn’t in my senses and I raped a girl?” he asked again.

“Yes Alex, I remember that night and how you almost killed yourself for doing that… I replied.

” She died, Liam !!!! She died….”he finally came out clean

His words echo in my ear as I stare at him in shock.

” She died, Skyler knew about it that night as she asked me to go home and sober up while she erased every trace. Now she comes up with a video that shows me being a monster Liam” He finally broke the shell as he fell on the floor.

I don’t care if she exposes me Liam, but then Petra would hate me, I would go to jail and won’t see my child even before he/she is born Liam and the name my father managed to gain would be destroyed because of his son” he said crying.

I stood still in shock.

“Skyler vows that after I go to jail, she would kill Petra and my child” he added

“How’s my Kitten?” he asked, still sad.

“She would be alright, though you have to be careful with whatever thing you do” I said

“Just earlier the doctor said her stress is getting too much and any other person would have lost the baby, but thank goodness Pet is a strong woman” I added.

“I could see the sadness of him hurting her in his eye”.

“I would take care of her,” I said, reassuring him.
