Chapter 32 Do It Again

Emilia puffed her chest out, straightened her back, and stared at Christopher without a flicker in her

eyes.

As he stared at Emilia without averting his gaze, Christopher ordered directly, “Scott, get someone to

check out the surveillance footage near NG Enterprise.”

“Yes, Mr. Wayne.”

Christopher continued to stare at Emilia after Scott left. His stare gave her the creeps, but she was

reluctant to avert her eyes from his face. After staring at him for a while, she forced a smile and tried to

talk to him. She asked, “Who are you exactly? How did you get to know my sister?”

“Emilia!” Maria yelled as she dragged Emilia to her side. Then, she looked at Christopher and said,

“Young Master Wayne, did Diane offend you? Please tell us if she has done anything wrong, for I’ll

make sure to teach her a lesson when she comes back.”

“She’s now my woman.”

“What?” Maria was stunned, and the smile on her face froze. “W-What does that mean?”

“You don’t have to ask so many questions. As for you…” Christopher’s eyes fell on Emilia. “You’d better

not lie to me.”

Christopher’s chilling face sent a chill down Emilia’s spine. After staring at him for a while, she grabbed

Maria’s arm and whispered in her ear, “Who is this guy, Mom?”

“Don’t ask about that,” Maria scolded in a low voice without telling Emilia.

Emilia frowned as she carefully studied what Christopher was wearing. She couldn’t tell the brand of

his outfit, but she could tell that it was of fine texture. In particular, the cufflinks on the sleeves of his

shirt were glittering; one could tell at a glance that they were made of real diamonds.

This is a big shot. Where did Diane get to know such a good man? Oh, right, that card! At the thought

of the card, Emilia suddenly realized something. “Is the card that my sister has with her yours?”

Does she know this too? Christopher was surprised, but he kept his countenance without saying a

word.

Emilia stared at Christopher before an idea flashed across her mind in a matter of seconds. She

pretended to be in a dilemma at once and said, “A-Actually, I wasn’t telling the truth just now. My

sister… I know where she went.”

“Shoot!” Christopher’s expression changed. There was an instant where he nearly stretched out his

hands and broke Emilia’s neck.

Emilia blinked her eyes. “She went to see Norman, and she did so after our dinner. I happened to be

heading the same way she was heading, so I went with her for a while. They met at a cafe on Pearl

Avenue. It’s… It’s called Blue Moon.”

This guy is a person of status and standing. If he finds out that I lied to him, his knives will be out for

me. It’ll be difficult for me to explain myself by then, so I’d better say what I’m saying right now. Diane

wanted to see Norman herself anyway, so this has nothing to do with me. Besides, I can be considered

to have helped her if something has really happened to her. At the thought of this, Emilia instantly got

rid of the last shred of guilt within her.

“Norman…” Christopher’s name instantly turned livid as he uttered this name. I’m anxiously worrying

for her here, yet she went to meet her ex-husband! As his heart was filled with anger, he clenched his

fists tightly, turned around, and walked out of the Cornell Residence.

“Mr. Wayne…” Shortly after Christopher went downstairs, Scott—who had gone out previously—came

up to him. “I just received news from the bank, and the offshore bank account is Norman’s. This guy is

really well-prepared. He—”

“Shut up.” Christopher suddenly darted a frosty look at Scott, causing the latter’s heart to skip a beat in

fright. As such, Scott did not dare to say another word and subconsciously buttoned his lips.

Christopher walked briskly as anger surged within him. She went to meet Norman, but she ended up

being used by him. Is this dumb woman stupid, or does Norman still have a place in her heart? 50

million… I should just leave her to sink or swim and save the money.

“Scott.” Despite the thought in his mind, Christopher looked back and ordered Scott, “Check out a cafe

named Blue Moon on Pearl Avenue. That dumb woman is probably still in there; check the surveillance

cameras nearby if she isn’t.”

Dumb woman… Scott looked at Christopher in puzzlement. He was somewhat confused, but he didn’t

dare to ask any questions upon seeing how glum Christopher looked. He could only reply, “Yes, Mr.

Wayne.”

After leaving the neighborhood, Scott assigned this task to the people outside. Then, he drove to Blue Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

Moon Cafe according to Christopher’s instructions.

Christopher didn’t say a word along the way. However, before they could reach the cafe, Scott’s cell

phone registered an incoming call.

Meanwhile, Diane—who had been unconscious for a long time—slowly opened her eyes in an

abandoned warehouse in the suburbs. Even though her eyes were open, her body was so limp that

she couldn’t move it at all. She found herself sitting on the ground with her back leaned against the

wall. The ground was wet, and all she smelled was a mixture of dust and rust.

“Are you awake?” Norman was right in front of her. As he sat on a chair, he leaned forward and stared

at her with the corners of his mouth turned up.

“Norman!” Diane shouted. She struggled to get up, but just as she stood up with her hand on the wall,

she went weak at the knees and fell back onto the ground. To make matters worse, she realized amid

her struggle that the front part of her blouse gaped open completely, causing her to be presented

before Norman in an extremely humiliating posture. Even though we were once husband and wife,

what’s happening right now is… Feeling embarrassed and angered, she hastily clutched the front of

her blouse and tried to cover herself as much as possible.

“Hehe…” Norman let out a taunting sneer. “What are you covering yourself for? It’s not like I’ve never

seen your naked body before. Are you awake? You’re awake just in time, for I’m about to leave. I’m

kind-hearted enough, ain’t I, Diane? I was planning to leave you here and flee at first, but after giving it

some thought, I decided to wait for you to come round before I leave. At the very least, I should let you

know what I’ll be doing so that you won’t keep thinking about me.”

“Where are you going?” Diane asked while fixing her eyes on Norman.

The complacent look on Norman’s face became increasingly apparent. “I’m running away, of course.

You’re probably still unaware that I have an overseas bank account, and Christopher has agreed to pay

me the money. When I receive the money tomorrow morning, I’ll be on the plane.”

“Did he agree to give you the money?” Diane’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Norman clutched the cell phone in his hand, gave it a pat, and explained with a smile, “Your reputation

matters quite a lot to him, for he has agreed to pay the 50 million without even blinking an eye. He

hasn’t given me the money yet, but I’m not afraid since he’ll definitely hand the money over. What kind

of person is Christopher? Money f*cking means nothing to him! He wants to save face, and he wouldn’t

dare to not give me the money since I have those photos of you with me. Wouldn’t Young Master

Wayne lose face if nude photos of Mrs. Wayne are posted everywhere on the Internet?”

“That’s despicable of you, Norman!” Diane gnashed her teeth in anger.

However, Norman laughed more wantonly and ostentatiously. Then, he raised his brows and replied

nonchalantly, “He removed me from the position I worked so hard to get with just a word. Shouldn’t he

give me some compensation? What is 50 million to him? Haha! Right now, I’m quite curious as to how

the hell you hooked up with him, Diane.” As he spoke, he stood up and walked up to her before he

crouched down.

Seeing that he was approaching her, Diane subconsciously clutched her blouse tightly. To her horror, a

fiendish smile suddenly flashed across Norman’s face. He stretched out his hands, clutched the front

part of the blouse that she had just wrapped around herself with, and pulled it apart again. “Or did

Christopher find something good about you that I hadn’t discovered previously? Diane, I don’t feel like

leaving all of a sudden now. Let us do it again. Let me see what the hell is so good about you, okay?”

Diane looked at Norman in fear and shivered as shameless words poured out of his lips.
