A Love Reawakened The Alpha’s Regret Chapter 197
BOOK 2: CHAPTER 67
Reina's POV
As soon as I opened my eyes the following morning, I was out of bed. I ran out of the room like I was being chased by a monster. I wasn't but I was just looking for a monster.novelbin
I ran back to the last spot where I'd seen Thorne last while Dreamwalking but he wasn't there. I ran back into the pack and came across Gideon.
He was busy jogging with some other warriors so I pulled him aside.
"Have you seen Rowan?" I asked, breathing heavily.
"Yes. I saw him once last night and this morning too. He was headed to the packhouse,”
"The Alpha's packhouse, yeah?" I asked him.
"Yeah, that packhouse. If you don't find him there, you can look for him at the office,"
"Thanks," Before I could run off again, Gideon pulled me back.
"Is he okay? He seemed different both times I saw him,"
I gave him an awkward laugh. "He's fine. Totally Fine. I just need to discuss something with him," I lied.
His eyes dropped to my neck, where Rowan had marked me but before he could say anything else regarding that, I dashed out of the place.
I was so worried about Rowan. Since Thorne had taken over his body, he wouldn't hesitate to act stupid and make crazy decisions that would affect Rowan in the long run. The best thing to do was keep Thorne out of trouble.
Was that even possible? This was Thorne, he basked and glowed in trouble.
I got to the Alpha's packhouse and someone pointed me to the basement. By the time I reached the door, I was almost hit by an Old typewriter. Thorne had turned the entire place upside down.
"Thorne," I called through gritted teeth.
He ignored me as though he didn't hear me.
"You almost killed me with that shitty old typewriter,"
I yelled.
He looked back and winked at me.
"You know I can't kill you," he said. "Yet!" He added out of nowhere while still throwing things around the basement.
"Thorne, stop!" I asked but he ignored me.
"Stop!"
He still didn't answer me.
"Fine! I'll call Rowan out and that would stop you from doing whatever bullshit it is you're doing,"

"Try that shit and I'll drag my claws through your pretty face,"
I cocked my head. "Fine! Challenge accepted. Ro..."
Before I could call out Rowan's name, Thorne was right there, his hand against my mouth, as he stopped me.
"You know you're bat shit crazy, right?"
I shrugged. I bit down on his palm so he could take that filthy hand away from my mouth. He was almost covered in dust from his hair to his toe. Rowan would die if he saw himself like this.
"What are you looking for?” I asked him.
"Do you want to help me or do you want to nag me to death?"
"How about both?"
He glared at me and I quickly shut up. "Your stupid, fucking mate hid a document from me and I need to find it,”
I groaned. "You aren't really smart, are you? The first places you should've checked are his office or his room,"
He growled. "One bright morning, you woke up and you think you're the genius werewolf. I've searched those places and I didn't find them," "That's so bad for you, isn't it?" I replied sarcastically.
He glared at me again.
He moved to another corner of the room and started rummaging through the pile of boxes that were there.
"What's in this file exactly?"
I asked him. "Something important,"
Since I decided to help him, I asked. "I need to know the details so I can help you look for it,"
"Why?" He asked in disbelief.
"Because the earlier you find whatever it is you're searching for, the earlier you get the fuck out of Rowan's body and the earlier I get to have him to myself,"
I explained, my hands folded against my chest.
"And you want me to trust you not to keep this document to yourself when you find it,"
I rolled my eyes at him. "Yes,"
He laughed. "I asked you to kill him, Harriette, just..."
I interrupted him.
"Reina,"
"What?"
"My name is Reina now. Call me Reina,"
"That sounds silly. So, no,"

"Yes,"
"No,"
"Yes,"
"Not even if your life depends on it and don't fucking interrupt me again," he growled.
"Sourpuss," I said.
"Bitch,"
I gasped. I suddenly coughed because of the dust I'd inhaled.

"I gave you just one assignment, Harriette. One simple assignment. Kill Rowan but what did you do instead? Fuck him and Mark him. That was exactly what you did," |
I almost busted out laughing. "In my defense, it was a better decision than killing him,"
He squinted his eyes at me. “Just why did I ever trust you?"
"You threatened me. There was no trust at any point,"
"Because I know you wouldn't be strong enough to resist his charms. Just like other women,"
"What? What other women?" I asked him.
He clicked his tongue. "Wow. You didn't think you were the first woman in his life, did you?" He asked.
I frowned. "There were other women before me," I asked rhetorically.
"Yes!" He snapped.
I bit down on my bottom lips. "No wonder he was so good in bed,"
He stared at me in disbelief. "Aren't you supposed to be mad? Isn't this the part where you get jealous and threaten never to talk to him again?"
"Why wouldn't I talk to him because he had other women before me?"
I had a whole fiancee back at home. If possible, I still do. So, why get mad at Rowan for doing almost the same thing?
"You're so shameless, Harriette,"
“He's my mate. There's nothing to be ashamed of,"
He scoffed.
I guess Thorne and I were past the stage where he threatened me and I got scared of him. Truth be told, I was still scared of Thorne and what he could do but our bickering had made me feel a bit more comfortable in his space.
He suddenly scrutinized me.
"You look pathetic,
I gasped. "That was because I ran out of bed immediately after I woke up to look for you,"
"Why?"

Thu,
"Look in the mirror, brother, You're Thorne. Someone has to stop you from getting into trouble,"
"Aww, you really did that for me," he gushed and I curled my lips in disgust.
"Shut up!" I snapped.
The playful look on his face was suddenly replaced by a deep frown as he looked around the room.
"I'm done," he announced.
"Why?"
He stared at me with a smirk. "I've found a new toy to play with,"

My eyes went wide in recognition. "No! No! No!. Whatever it is, that's going through your head should be erased this instance,”
I warned him.
He didn't answer and neither did he stop coming after me. He grabbed the back of my shirt and dragged me out of the basement.
"Do I get to say no to whatever your plan is?"
"NO! He growled at me and the woman who had just witnessed the scene.
