Chapter 35 - It's Unnecessary, But It Establishes Power!

Numb was an insult to what I was feeling!

I was on another planet... floating.

But just like every fairytale, it had to end.

I had to go back to earth.

I pushed him lightly and thank God, he broke away.

You know what the worst part was? I liked it! I liked him... too much!

I finally opened my eyes to the sight of him grinning. Lord, help me!

How would I ever stay away from him now? I really had no answer for that.

"I have to go," I said regaining control over myself.

"I have to ask first," He started. "Was this proof enough?" Huh? "Should I take that as a yes?"

"Bye, Ron."

"That's definitely a yes." He grinned even wider. "Our first date is tomorrow."

"In your dreams," I said faster than thunder. Could I sound any more desperate?!

"You already are." So. Damn. Cheesy. But why was my mouth smiling like a fool?! Ugh! Stop this

bullshit, mouth.

Stop. It.

"I'll drive you home." I nodded in response.

Nodding could mean other things than yes. Right?! I mean I didn't want him to take me home so I could

spend some more time with him. Right?

We both went out after he got his keys and headed to his car.

"So, I was thinking..." He trailed.

I gasped. "You have a brain?!"

"Haha," He said with no humour. "So, anyway, what's your dream date?"

"I'm not going anywhere with you," I replied. See? I could say no! It wasn't deleted from my dictionary!

"Really?" Finally, he understood. "You want me to choose? I mean we haven't been dating for an hour

and you're already willing to do what I want." Dumb. That was what he was! "You're so nice."

"And you're an idiot. Literally!" I breathed. "Actually, calling you an idiot is an insult to idiots." I smiled.

"I'll pick you up after school. How does that sound?"

"Terrible?" I replied. I really wanted to go but not! Did that make any sense? No? Okay! "Wait, why did

you stop the car?" I glared at him.

He turned around. Facing me... "Isn't that your house?" He asked. Major OMG here! "Or, would you like

to spend the night at mine?" He asked getting closer that I could feel his hot breath on my neck

sending chills and swarms of butterflies down my stomach.

Oh my God! Was I getting another kiss?

I was about to close my eyes when I heard a click. Huh?

An even bigger OMG! He was removing my seat-belt. Oh, dammit! I felt my cheeks burn with heat and

fled the car in embarrassment.

I ran all the way to my room not caring what the heck was going on with the world.

I tried to sleep. But how could I? It wasn't near impossible. I was damn impossible!

It was even worse when Aurora sent me a text reminding me that I had to start recording the album that

I said was finishing it two weeks ago. That was what lies did to people.

I chewed the tip of my pencil and doodled a bit but then, my hand started writing. Words were flowing

out of my brain without me noticing.

There was only one thing in common with every single song.

Love!

But, was I falling in love?

None sense. No one could fall in love that fast!

Found it!

Maybe I just liked the idea of a guy liking me! I wasn't in love, I was just interested?

Yup! That made sense. Yay me!

I woke up at the bright light directed at my face. Too damn early, you crazy twins! Were they trying to

torture me?

"If this is either Loca or Ian, I'm killing you then getting back to sleep."

"I think you want to hear this one," Loca said. I knew it!

"So, we know you're dating and we're telling mom and dad," Ian said nonchalantly.

"Unless?" I asked. Wait, was I sleeping on the windowsill?

"There's no 'unless' here," Loca said.

"How do you want me to bribe you? Just say it so I can go back to sleep."

"How does a bribe from Cinnamon sound like?" Loca asked.

"Perfect!" Ian replied.

"You have three seconds to talk.

"Hundred signed autographs," Loca stated.

"Deal! Now get out."

"You're late for school anyways." Ian laughed as if he just told the world's funniest joke ever.

FML!

I went to school alright! Also, I managed to sleep through most of the classes without getting caught. I

had to add that to my CV. 'Ability to sleep without anyone noticing'!

After the day ended, I headed straight to the locker's room to change. I was going to ace this audition!

Sitting on the bleachers, I could find Sky, Tommy, Jason and even my crazy siblings. Aww! They even

made me banners.

Wait did they seriously write that?

'Run for your life everyone because Elena will kick your asses. LITERALLY!!!!'

Were they supposed to sound funny?

No? I thought so too!

What exactly happened during the auditions? I had no idea!

I just let my body move on its own accord. It was like I was performing as Cinnamon again. With the

music guiding me and no more of the world existed.

There was no room for doubts. I could do this. I was ever sure of one thing during my life. And that

thing was singing and dancing to the music. Like music was another planet in another world away from

everything else, my favourite place to be.

The coach said she'd announce the results in two days but to be honest, I aced this! I was finally doing

something I loved during school and not even Alice could take that from me.

Speaking of Alice AKA the devil, I wasn't about to let her go. No one could mess with me and get away

with it. How dare she put that note in my locker. She was in the lockers room so that was where I was

headed.

"I will cut the crap for you. Why the fuck did you put a note in my locker?" I roared. There was no

reason to talk to her more than necessarily needed.

"What are you even talking about?" She scoffed.

Restrain yourself. The last thing you want is to go to prison for murdering her.

"I saw the bloody video so just tell me." I rolled my eyes. "Otherwise, I will have to report it as

harassment and then you'll get suspended and maybe you won't even graduate." I shrugged. "Also,

you know, I'm kind of a celebrity since my family is famous and rich soo..." I dragged on. Threatening

was really fun! "You won't only lose your opportunity at school you'll also become hated. So really don't

push me to do it." I grinned. A very scary surreal smile.

Was that too much?

Hell yeah... but it had to be done!

I enjoyed it.

There was an opportunity Alice will be less bitchy.

It was win-win all the way!

"A woman told me to put it." She murmured sitting on the bench in the middle of the room. "I don't know

her." She breathed.

Wait, I thought it would be harder!

No fun!

Her voice almost broke while her face was flushed. "Please don't tell anyone."

"As long as you behave." I crossed my arms over my chest. "Also, if you see this woman again, take a

picture or get me some info. Anything useful." I purred. "Bye!" I waved and got out.

Never underestimate a nerdy girl!

I walked head up enjoying my victory while the air fluttered makings my hair sway behind me. Wearing

a cheering outfit while the victory music played in my head was amazing!

"Shana!" I heard Ron's voice.

The victory music stopped along with everything else.

"Don't stand there like an idiot, we're going to our date." He took my hand. Oopsie! Maybe I forgot.

Wait!

I had to refuse this!

I couldn't hurt him...
