A Flash Marriage Can Be A Treasure

Chapter 586 The Real Spy

Chapter 586 The Real Spy

Actually, Stella had never offended Sofia before. It was a bit confusing to figure out why Sofia wanted

to set her up.

However, it suddenly occurred to Louis that Sofia could have access to the top secret of the Smith

Group with the help of David once she engaged in a relationship with him. What was more, he was told

by John that Jonathan had planted a spy among the senior managers of the Smith Group. At the

thought of that, Louis, squinting, seemed to figure everything out.

With the help of the capable spy, Jonathan could still easily manipulate his power even if he was in

another city.

“Louis?” Mrs. Lou couldn’t help asking as she noticed that Louis still remained silent, “Shall we catch

her?”

“No, just hold on. I need to figure out something before that.” Louis needed to make sure if Sofia was

the culprit who conspired to arrest Lily. If so, Louis would definitely plan for a revenge.

Besides, he also needed to find out what kind of evil she was planning against the Smith Group.

Louis then gave Mrs. Lou back her phone and said, “Don’t tell anyone about our meet and conversation

today. If Sofia still comes to you, just do as usual. Don’t get her alert.”

Mrs. Lou nodded, “Okay. But, Louis, what about Daniel?”

“I don’t know either.” Louis took a look at his watch and stood up. Then he added, “I gotta go back to

my office. You may leave by yourself.”

Mrs. Lou yelled to stop him, “I want to meet him and have a talk with him. Just for a few minutes. May

I?”

Louis showed no response. He just turned around and left.

Staring at his back, Mrs. Lou was overwhelmed with upset and frustration. Both Daniel and his wife fell

into coma because of her wrong doing. Now the retribution came straight to her and she deserved it.

During this period of time, Louis had been fully occupied. And so was David.

He still failed to find out the hidden spy who ruined the project between the Smith Group and Ocean

International Company, which Louis was exceedingly disgruntled about. What was worse, he also got a

lot of works to do. That really exhausted him.

He had never been so eager to find out where was Lily.

Being pushed by Louis recently, he even felt like quitting.

Today was the birthday of Sofia. David had already planned for an unexpected celebration for her—he

told her that he would be too busy to spend time with her tonight. But he actually planned to leave the Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

office early so as to buy her a birthday cake and a gift. Then he would present her such a great

surprise.

It only took him less time than expected to buy a cake and a gift. When he got home, it was only 5:00

PM.

He hurried to store the cake into the fridge and got prepared for the food. Then he began to decorate

the parlor.

After being busy doing all these, he got a call from Catherine, who was asking for some documents.

David hurried to get his laptop in the room. But it ran out of power because he didn’t notice that the

charger had gone broken when he charged the battery last night.

David took Sofia’s laptop for substitute. He decided to tell her about it later.

He typed Sofia’s phone number to try the password. And he managed to have access to the system.

As soon as he saw the desktop, he noticed that Sofia’s social app had logged in automatically.

When he was about to log out, he clicked on an unread message by accident. As he was going to shut

the message panel, something caught his attention, ‘Burnell is DEAD.’

When he saw the message, he suddenly ran into a pause.

He saw from Sofia’s chat history with someone named S from her friend list that she was lucky enough

to follow John’s advice that she made Lily out of Yorkshire at that time, so that everything went on

smoothly.

Obviously, David was shocked when seeing that.

It turned out to be a fact that it was Sofia who instigated John to take Lily out of the city.

Though David was also aware that it was offensive to check other’s chat history without permission, he

still couldn’t believe that Sofia actually conspired such an evil plan. He kept rolling to see more about

the previous chat history, trying to figure out if it was just a misunderstanding.

However, as he could judge from the way this guy chat with Sofia commandingly and also the request

he asked for, he then draw a conclusion that the spy planted by Jonathan in the Smith Group was none

other than Sofia.

What was more, Sofia was also the one behind who had been providing aid for Jana. It was Sofia who

abducted Jessie and even blinded her eyes. But luckily, Jessie managed to escape.

Besides that, it was Sofia instead of Jana who made someone to call Jessie to inform her of the death

of her uncle and aunt—Charlie and Lisa.

Again, Sofia also contacted Willow to make her send the perfume back to the Egret Company. Then

she conspired with Willow to set Lily up—they charged her of attempted murder against a pregnant

lady and then Lily was remanded in custody.

And Sofia even hired someone to kill Lily in the police office after that.

“Gosh!” David seemed to see his world collapse when browsing this horrible chat history.

He could never believe that Sofia, a seemingly kind and lovely lady, was actually an evil.

Though she did have a great feud with Lily, Jessie was totally innocent. He couldn’t understand why

she conspired with Jana to torture Jessie.

His hand couldn’t help trembling while he was holding the mouse. Now he had no idea how to chill

himself.

Now he just wanted to see what else Sofia had ever plotted. So he clicked on the files transfer panel.

Though those files had gone expired, he could still clearly tell from their titles—QY Plan, the Project

Between the Smith Group and Ocean International Company and other confidential files of the Smith

Group.

David had never expected that the spy he had been looking for was actually his girlfriend.

And he also got himself involved though he didn’t notice.

David slumped blankly while scratching his head.

He could tell that Sofia sneaked on his laptop every single night when he was asleep. Then she

revealed all those secrets for Jonathan.

Everyone knew how terrible the consequence would be to steal confidential information from a

company. He couldn’t help wondering her reason and a question—if he himself was only viewed as a

tool for her to extract information.

He would have never known about it if it weren’t because of this chat history revealed.

Suddenly, he seemed to hear footsteps coming from the outside.

He hurried to turn off the laptop and put it back to the bedroom. As soon as he sat down in the parlor,

the door was opened.

“Did you do that?” Sofia paused out of surprise when seeing the parlor decorated with ribbons and

flowers. Then she asked with a smile, “Why are you doing this? Is it a special day today?”

While looking at her, he couldn’t help recalling the chat history. Now his heart felt like being impacted.

But he still forced out a fake smile in case Sofia would notice, “Don’t you remember? Today is your

birthday.”

“Oh, I almost forget it. I haven’t celebrated my birthday for years.”

Sofia changed her shoes and walked into the parlor. She gave him a hug and kissed him, “Well, I didn’t

expect that you were trying to make me a surprise by lying to me that you were busy. Thank you!”

David swallowed down his mixed feelings, “It’s okay. I am glad you like it.”

“Yeah, of course I like it! It looks beautiful!” Sofia kissed him again. Then she saw his laptop on the

table, “Are you still working?”

“No. The charge is out of work. I can leave it tomorrow when I go to work.” David closed the laptop and

said, “Let me cook for you.”

“Okay.” Sofia loosened her hug and smiled, “I also have a surprise for you after dinner!”

While cooking, David had been bothered by the chat history in his mind.

He had grown feelings for Sofia as they spend so much time together. If he revealed her doing, she

would be arrested for imprisonment. And that was also the last thing he’d like to see.

After struggling for quite a while, David made up his mind—he just pretended to know nothing about

the chat history. Then he would break up with her and send her abroad. As for the following troubles,

he decided to solve them by himself.

The table was then covered with abundant dishes. He then opened a bottle of wine.

After dinner, he took the cake out of the fridge and then presented her the gift.

After unwrapping it, Sofia was surprised to find that it was her favorite handbag of limited-edition. She

beamed and reached out to kiss David.

She put away the gift and said to him, “Close your eyes. And wait still.”

“Okay.”

David closed his eyes, waiting.

When Sofia told him to open his eyes, he saw Sofia hand over a pregnancy tester, on which shown that

she was pregnant.

Sofia smiled when looking at his stunned face, “I am pregnant.”
