Chapter 482: Small Tricks

"Hey! What are you doing!" A furious shout suddenly comes to Lily's ears.

Then the weight on her hands and feet disappears, and air floats in her nose.

Lily struggles to breathe.

The pillow on Lily's face is took off, and someone pats her cheek, "Ms. Lily, how do you feel?"

Lily waits until her breathing is stabilized before she slowly opens her eyes.

Lily recognizes the woman who is calling her with a concerned look. She is the one who greets her the

other day.

"What happened just now? Who are you?"

"Someone tried to kill you and arranged someone in the police station." The woman whispers and

helps Lily up, "Young master ordered to get in here after he knew that you entered the police station."

Lily immediately figures out the 'Young master' the woman referred to is John.

Lily glances at the ground.

Lily raises her head and takes a look at the broken surveillance camera. A cold smile appears on her

face. "No wonder I wasn't in a solitary confinement cell. They were trying to kill me."

"Ms. Lily, do you feel alright?"

Lily shakes her head and says, "I am fine. Thanks to you. What's your name?"

"Amanda Wyatt."

"Wyatt?" Lily is a little surprised, "Are you related to Victor?"

"No."

After a few more questions, Lily finally knows.

It turns out that John recognizes her and deliberately transfers Amanda to the Smith Group in

Yorkshire.

Derek's car accident is also Amanda's doing.

Amanda receives an order about half a month ago that instructs her to protect Lily.

After finding out, Lily is not angry.

"I don't like his people following me, but if it weren't you tonight, my child and I would have died."

Amanda grabs the woman from Lily and punches her in the face, "Out with it!"

The woman is beaten into a daze. Her nose couldn't stop bleeding.

A hint of fear flashes through her eyes, and she quickly shouts, "Help? Anyone here? They want to kill

me!"

Soon the door is pushed open.

The staff member who has disappeared all night came in.

When he comes over and sees what is happening inside, his face sinks. "What are you doing?"

The woman shouts crazily, "They want to kill me. Get me out of here!"

Seeing the staff is calling someone over through the pager, Lily laughs coldly, "It seems that I have

offended a big shot. He made such careful plan to kill me. I am honored!"

"Ms. Lily, watch your mouth!"

Lily stare at the staff and says, "Did I mention you? What are you feeling guilty about?"

The staff member knows that he is tricked by Lily, so he is in panic and stops talking.

After his colleague arrives, he moves the women on the ground out.

Lily and Amanda are left inside.

Amanda asks Lily, "Ms. Lily, since it is not Mr. Seles, who else would be it?"

Lily lowers her head and looks at her slightly bulging belly.

She recalls the day that Mrs. Lou glares at her fiercely and says that she would not let her go when she

leaves with Sophia.

Lily purses her lower lip and says, "I know who it is."

As the court session draws nearer, Lily still does not hear from Ella.

Maybe someone doesn't want her to receive her call and has interfered in the business of the police

station.

Amanda tells Lily not to worry and says that Mr. John must be on his way here.

Three days before leaving the court session, the staff brings a guest to Lily's confinement cell.

"Lily, you have a visitor."

Lily thinks it might be her lawyer.

"Ms. Lily." Valentina walks over on high heels and greets Lily politely, "I came here to get some stuff. I

heard that you are in here, so I came to take a look."

Lily also smiles politely, "It's my honor to have a famous diplomat like you, Ms. Hester, to visit me."

"I have already resigned my job." Valentina's red lips open slightly. "You know, I came back because of

my marriage. It would be too inconvenient if I continue working abroad after getting married."

Lily's eyebrows twitch fiercely.

Valentina glances at her, as if she has seen something, and the smile in her eyes becomes even more.

"I know that you have done a lot for the Smith Group in the past. You are a great help to Louis. Seeing

that you are in such a difficult situation now, I also want to help you."

"Then thank you, Ms. Hester."

Lily feels uncomfortable but doesn't show it, nor does she show any courtesy to Valentina. "I'll be in

court in three days. Could you please contact Mr. Smith and tell him about my matters and ask him to

testify for me in court at that time?"

can't get through Mr. Smith's phone, I won't bother him anymore."

Valentina says, "I heard that the other party has solid evidence. If no one can testify for you, Ms. Lily,

you might lose the case."

"Yes." Lily says unhurriedly, "There are still three days left. I'm not in a hurry. Perhaps Mr. Smith will

return from abroad on the day of the court session."

Valentina is speechless.

Seeing that Valentina doesn't know what to say, Lily continues, "No matter what, I am Mr. Smith's ex-

fiancée. He was the one who asked someone to send me the duck soup. But none of us has expected

"If he knew that I was accused, he would definitely find a way to help me, so I'm really not worried."

"So that's what you think." Valentina's expression gradually sinks. "Aren't you afraid of implicating him?"

Lily smiles softly, "If he thinks that I will implicate him, he can refuse to help me."

"Ms. Hester, don't misunderstand. Mr. Smith and I have nothing to do with each other." Lily says calmly,

"I just happen to know Mr. Smith well. He is a responsible man and will surely take his responsibility in

this matter."

"I have no misunderstanding on you. You know him and I trust him. There is no confliction there."

"That's good." Lily shows a relieved expression and says, "I'm afraid that you might think that Mr. Smith

still has something feelings for me. Then I would be a sinner for ruining your relationship."

Valentina is mad.

The corner of her mouth twitches fiercely.

Valentina has worked abroad for so many years and dealt with all kinds of people. She thinks herself

good at debating, but she doesn't expect to be cornered by Lily like this today.

Valentina pulls out a smile and says, "You are very talkative, Ms. Lily!"

"Thank you, Mr. Smith has said the same thing." Lily purses her lower lip and says, "He didn't dare to

quarrel with me before, because he can't. So he likes to find other ways to bully me..."

"I still have something to do. I will leave first!" Valentina's face turns completely cold as she turns

around and leaves.

Lily shouts from behind, "Take care, Ms. Hester."
