Leigh says impatiently, "She and Daniel are not married yet. If something happens to her, you shall go
to the Scotts for help. It's no use looking for me. I too have a lot of troubles to solve!"

Leigh immediately turns to look at David. Putting on a long face, he asks, "What do you mean?"
David whispers in his ear.
Leigh's face darkens after he hears his words, and he can't help frowning.
He shoots a fierce glance at Lily and then uses great strength to push her away. "Lily, I'll deal with you
after solving this matter!"
His unexpected move startles Lily, who immediately loses her balance and bangs into a desk.
Hitting her belly on the sharp corner of the desk, she gasps in pain.
David hurries over to help her up. "Ms. Lily, are you alright?"
Lily's belly is still against the corner of the desk.
Noticing that her lower abdomen is noticeably swollen, David widens his eyes in surprise.
A few seconds later, he seems to think of something and looks at Lily in shock. "Ms. Lily, you..."
"I'm fine." Lily shakes his hand off and manages to stand up.
It takes a long while for the sharp pain to disappear.
"Tell me more about this. Why did Mr. Daniel and Stella both have an accident?" Lily changes the topic.
"Well ... I'll tell you about this after we get into the car." David doesn't ask about her swollen belly
anymore. Instead, he says with a serious expression, "You need to come with me to the Long Peace
Group now."
"OK." Upon realizing that this matter is serious, Lily does not dare to delay.
She gives the assistant who has been kicked by Leigh a few days off. After arranging today's work for
her subordinates, she leaves with David.
On the way to the Long Peace Group, David tells Lily everything.
It turns out that Daniel's father is not injured. It is a lie fabricated by Mrs. Lou to deceive Daniel into
going to Country XL. She asks her husband to help lock Daniel up as soon as the latter arrives in

of directors today."

taking her equity! If Stella hadn't got hold of the Long Peace Group, she would be under the thumb of
her father for a lifetime!"
"Ms. Lily, don't worry. When Stella was abroad, she arranged everything in place. If anything bad
happens to her, she will give you all the shares of the Long Peace Group."
"What?" Lily is shocked. "Why did she give them to me? I am an outsider..."
After thinking for a moment, David says, "Probably it's because she trusts you very much."
"After opening the documents to see the content, I was also shocked. Later on, I thought that apart
from Mr. Smith, you are the only capable one she can trust to manage the Long Peace Group."
"Why didn't she hand the Long Peace Group over to Mr. Smith?"

through.

Peace Group and the Scotts are having a meeting now. Why did you barge in like this?"
"I'm so sorry." David smiles as he brings Lily in. "This time, I was entrusted by Ms. Stella to handle
some matters for her."
One of the directors says, "Just drop the act. We all know that Ms. Stella had an accident abroad."
"She's still in the hospital now. How can she entrust you to deal with the company's affairs?"
"You are truly well-informed." David nods. He takes out a document and places it on the table.
"However, Ms. Stella entrusted this matter to me before she left the country."
Mr. Scott, who is sitting in the main seat, takes the document over.
After taking a few glances at its content, Mr. Scott shouts at David, "How dare she? I'm Stella's father,
and if something happens to her, I should have all the shares. How can she hand them over to an
outsider?"
David replies politely, "Sorry, I don't know. However, Ms. Stella has signed the share transfer papers, so
they have legal efficiency."
He adds, "Mr. Scott, if you don't believe me, I can call Lawyer Roger over. Ms. Stella also told him
about the equity."
The directors pass on the share transfer papers one after another.
After finishing reading the papers, the directors react the same way as Mr. Scott. They can by no
means accept Stella's decision.
"Since Ms. Stella had an accident, the shares should be handed over to her biological father."
"That's right. How can an outsider manage the Long Peace Group? We don't agree!"
