Chapter 454: I Was Keeping an Eye for You

She remembers the perfume that Sofia wore. It smells like incense, and she doesn't like it.

"That smell is pungent," Louis says.

He realizes that the only thing he can smell now is the fragrance of fruit and woods on the test paper.

It's been a long time since he last smelled the faint fragrance of Campanula.

The man tries to ask in a casual voice, "You are not wearing perfume today?"

"Yes, I haven't worn perfume for a long time." Taking a few sips of black tea, Lily replies, "The perfume I

was wearing was shattered by Lucky. I asked the official website, and they said that it went out of

production. So, I can't buy it."

She mutters, "That perfume was selling well in Asia. It's a mystery why they stop producing it. I've used

it for several years, and I miss the fragrance."

Hearing this, Louis feels that his heart is pounding.

He remembers that he has mentioned the perfume to David....

"Why do you ask about it?" Lily looks up at him, "Do you like the smell?"

"Yes. It is a pleasant, faint smell." Louis doesn't deny it, but he makes up a reason, "It would be a good

gift to a female customer. I didn't expect it to go out of production."

Louis’ face darkens, and he doesn't know what to say.

Lily thinks that they are going back to their rooms. Instead, Louis is walking out of the homestay family.

The man says, "You ate a lot today. You should take a walk."

"I don't want to walk." Hearing this, Lily turns around.

Louis pinches the back of his neck. She's forced to turn around again and follow him.

"You have to," Louis orders. "You ate too much on the plane. When you were asleep, I saw your belly

swelling."

Lily's face turns pale.

'Is it that obvious? He can see it?'

Seeing her pale face, Louis asks with concern, "Are you okay? Eating too much and feeling ill?"

"You pinched me. It hurts!" Lily frowns on purpose and mutters, "I can take a walk. Look at you.

Squeeze my neck so hard."

Seeing her red neck, the man feels sorry, 'I do pinch her with too much strength.'

"I'll buy you some ointment."

Lily says in an unhappy tone, "Never mind. Leave it alone. I hope you won't pinch people like that."

Louis feels upset, turning his head to see the scenery.

While she was sleeping soundly on the plane, Louis noticed that her belly was round. Thinking that she

had never stopped eating, Louis was afraid that she would get sick. So, he wants to take her for a walk.

The family of Willow is located in a suburb, which is also a scenic spot.

Walking a few hundred meters out of the homestay family, they get to a street where people can buy

snacks and souvenirs.

There're all kinds of shops with design features of City L. It's low season, so there are only a few

people in the street, which is as beautiful as a painting.

Lily and Louis walk slowly down the street, enjoying the breeze.

When seeing an interesting shop, Lily goes in and takes a look.

Before Lily can say anything, the shopkeeper says, "The young lady hasn't bought it yet. If you want it,

you can have it by paying double!"

"Sir, it's not appropriate, is it?" Lily's face darkens as she tries to suppress her anger and reason with

the shopkeeper, "I said I wanted the earrings, and my friend are exchanging cash."

"But you haven't paid!" The shopkeeper says, "So, it's still mine. I can make the call."

When the girl learns that Lily hasn't bought it, she asks the shopkeeper how much it is.

Even if the shopkeeper tells her that the price is 328, she still takes it. And her boyfriend pays cash.

Lily has no choice but to hand the earrings to the girl.

The couple comes out of the shop, chatting and laughing. Louis sees the daisy earrings in the girl's

ears.

It seems that Louis wants to talk to the girl.

Lily knows what the man is thinking and grabs his arm, "Forget it. It's just a pair of earrings. There are

so many accessory shops on the street. I believe we can find another one. Besides, I don't like things

which have been used by others."

"Alright, we'll keep looking."

Before leaving, Louis turns his head to look at the name of the shop, thinking something.

They have gone to all the accessory shops on the street, and Lily can't find the daisy earrings.

She tells Louis that it's fine, but she feels upset.

'It's the only thing that I have taken a fancy to on this street, and I can't have it.'

Darkness of City L falls later in the spring. When they return to the homestay family, it's already seven

o'clock. The sun has just gone down, and sunset clouds are covering the sky.

Willow and her husband are back as well.

Having introduced her husband to Lily and Louis, Willow asks, "Ms. Lily, is there anything that you don't

eat? My husband caught some hares in the mountain. Why don't we eat together?"
