Chapter 94: Disruption
-Leon's POV-
"Oh, I'm from a small farming community in the Corder Territory. Though Leon and I..."
I spoke in her stead she seemed hesitant to the question.
"We didn't meet in the most ideal or conventional ways, it wasn't a nice location, not one would expect
to meet their future partner at least."
One of the daughters spoke.
"Well, it must have been a decent place, if a romance sprung from it."
"Um, W... we met at the Demon King Palace, though at that time Leon was a demon lord, and I was
um..."
She wriggled in her seat, looking down. Kinda on edge of what to say.
"She was a slave, I found her hiding in one of the dungeon cells. She was (cough) a gift from the
previous demon king. Though I didn't treat her as such, I actually helped her and the others that were
held, get back to the human continent. Though she didn't want to leave my side, so one thing led to
another."
They looked a little astonished, I doubt they ever heard of such a thing happening.
The king's wife spoke towards me, with her hand covering her mouth.
"You must really be the charmer, demon king, having been able to make someone fall for you in such a
situation, I would say you have a gift."
"Hu, I guess your right. Though I don't think of myself as the charmer in the relationship. I was more the
one who was charmed."
I looked and smiled at Luna next to me, she kinda blushed.
Both the daughters let spoke.
"Aww."
I could hear the son grit his teeth, his expression was shown with a little agitation.
His voice followed his expression.
"Why..!"
Though before we could continue with the light conversation, he burst out of his chair and banged his
hands on the table.
The group all looked toward his direction, he gained all the attention.
"How could you fall for such utter bullshit.?!"
"Son, what's the meaning of such disruptions."
"Father how could you let a demon stay here, let alone eat at our table, the bastard will probably try
killing us all in our sleep once dinner has concluded." This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
"Son, he is our honored guest.. show some re..."
I looked at the king and spoke.
"No no, it's alright."
He stopped speaking and as I finished, then turned to his son.
"You know, you could have spoken, yelled, or even screamed to your heart's content about your dislike
for me when I wasn't around."
I looked down at my plate and started preparing it for my first bite.
"Shouldn't the future king of Latis have enough sense to keep his mouth shut when it comes to matters
such as that? I would hope so. Lucky for him the man he shows his concerns about didn't take too
much offense to it."
I put the fork to my mouth and spoke, now with the clean fork pointed toward the king.
"Don't you agree, King Latis?"
"Yes, his manors are not what one would expect from a future ruler."
The son spoke to his father.
"Huu, your so pitiful, submitting to him!"
He then looked and spoke to Luna directly.
"And you, how could you degrade yourself, by falling for the same being that caused you to such
misfortune. You're a human you should rely on your own, not some beast."
I grabbed her hand and was going to speak, but Luna cut me off.
"He.."
Luna looked at the kid only a few years younger than her with a straight face and intense voice.
Her voice sounded as if she was about to cry but tones of bravery were there as well.
"I was brought into this, into slavery by my own kind, my own parents who sold me wouldn't have cared
as much as the man you call a beast. I relied on Leon because no one else showed such kindness,
and I'm glad I did. So maybe you shouldn't judge me or my husband until you have a bigger view of the
world around you."
"Ah, dammit.!"
The son left, storming out of the room.
"What...Stupidity..."
Fumes almost rose off of him as he did.
"Sigh, I'm sorry about that. He's hasn't accepted the fact we've made peace yet, he still dislikes the
demon race. I do hope the both of you can forgive him."
"I take no offense to it, let's just hope his thoughts of my race, will change in the future."
