Wormed that Gordon might feel cold, Mayfa found a thick pullover from the
closet and placed it on him. Only then did she leave for the kitchen to cook for
him.
Although Mayra had never used this type of cooktor she learned it from Gordon the last time he used it. When the fire lit up…e teared up from the smoke. Thankfully, the fire started burning on the stove.
She used the ingredients in the kitchen and made a simple chicken noodle soup. When she left the kitchen, she saw Gordon seated on the bed with a
book in his hands.
With soot on her face, she brought the food to him. “It’s done. Give it a try.”
At 7:30 pm, Shane whispered to Anderson, “News from the Barlow mansion
confirmed that Ms. Sadler didn’t return.”
Anderson waved his hand with an unreadable look in his eyes.
Looking at the glass of wine on the table, Shane reckoned that Anderson would get drunk if he continued drinking. Usually, Anderson didn’t drink this much. However, Anderson finished the white wine in one gulp.

They were the people of authority and the president of the Business Association of Candor. Many projects had to be approved by them.
At 8:30 pm. Shane drove back to Barlow mansion. With his eyes closed, Anderson leaned into the backseat. “Where’s Mayra? Is she back yet?”
She should be on the way home now. Although Ms. Sadler is playful, she doesn’t go overboard Shane replied.
Anderson sriggered. “One day, she’s going to get cheated and still not realize t. When will she let me stop worrying about her? Later, do something for me.”
